Junior Ambassador Program FAQ's

Capture your high school years through this unique experience!

Q: What is the Junior Ambassador Program?

A: It is a referral program! A Junior Ambassador is a high school student in grades 9-11 who serves as a brand ambassador for Magnolia + Pine Photography. They are highly motivated individuals who are excited to make new friends and build their confidence in front of the camera. Junior ambassadors are active on social media and are excited to share final images as well as behind the scenes looks into the various events that they participate in as part of the program. For each person who books a session with me using the Junior Ambassador's unique personal code, they will receive the next month of the program for FREE!

Q: Who is eligible for the 2025 Junior Ambassador Program?

A: Any high school student who will be graduating in 2026, 2027, or 2028. The location of you high school does not matter, however, the majority of the Senior Ambassador shoots will take place in Johnston and Wake counties. Ambassadors should have access to transportation to shoots as it will not be provided. Students who are homeschooled or attend school online are also eligible for the program.

Q: Who makes a great Junior Ambassador?

A: Being a Junior Ambassador is not about having a certain "look" and no modeling experience is required or expected. The ideal Ambassador is someone who brings passion and energy to every session. They love having their photo taken and making new friends. Dressing up and exploring new locations is exciting to them. A person who is looking forward to their high school experience and is searching for a unique and fun way to celebrate this time in their life.

Q: Who should apply for the Junior Ambassador Program?

A: Anyone graduating high school in 2026, 2027, or 2028 who loves being in front of the camera! The program is especially great for anyone who wants to be a model (because you get so many photos), has an interest in photography (because you get to work closely with me throughout the year), and loves making new friends (because you will meet folks from all different school districts).

Q: How do I become a Junior Ambassador?

A: The first step is to submit an application. Applications will be live through September 6, 2024. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program. You will be notified the week of September 9 if you have been accepted as a 2025 Junior Ambassador.

Q: What do I get as a Junior Ambassador?

A: You get to participate in six unique themed group shoots throughout the school year! These sessions allow you the opportunity to bring your creativity and sense of style to your images! There will also be at least 3 "activity days" throughout the year that are focused on having fun and building friendships with your fellow ambassadors. Junior Ambassadors also receive exclusive discounts on print products.

Q: Can you tell me more about the Junior Ambassador Sessions?

A: Of course! These shoots are typically seasonal or themed. The tentative schedule for this year's ambassador team includes the following: Downtown Clayton Shoot, Pumpkin Patch Shoot, Christmas Tree Farm Shoot, Valentine's Day Shoot, Spring Portrait Shoot, and Spring Formal/Junior Prom Shoot. Shoots included with the program vary from year to year. You will receive an online gallery with 15-20 digital images from each session. It is expected that Junior Ambassadors share images from their sessions on their social media account and tag Magnolia + Pine Photography in the post.

Q: What is the cost to participate in the Junior Ambassador Program?

A. There is a monthly fee of $75 for the duration of the program. The program runs from September of 2024 through April of 2025, totaling 8 monthly payments. Each payment is due on the first of that month.

Q: What happens if I cannot attend a session?

A. You will not be penalized for missing a session or "activity day".  However, you are still responsible for making that month's payment. A schedule of events will be sent out at the start of the program so that you can put all events on your calendar in advance.

Q: What is the time commitment?

A. There will be at least one themed portrait session or "activity day" a month. Since you are paying for the program regardless of if you are in attendance, it is strongly encouraged that you attend as many events as possible. A schedule for all fall events will be made available to you at the start of the program. I will send out a survey at the end of the year to gauge everyone's availability for the spring. I will then put together a schedule for all of the spring sessions, and you can come to every shoot that works with your availability.

Q: Do I get anything if I refer a friend?

A. Yes! Truth be told, my business does better when you refer your friends! After you've been accepted to the program, you will be assigned a referral code. When anyone books using your code, they will receive 10% off their session and you will get your next month of the program for FREE! There is no limit to the number of friends you can refer, which means you have the opportunity to get your entire Junior Ambassador Experience for FREE!
